The Saxony style of spinning wheel is what most people envision in their mind's eye. It is the most popular traditional "look" for a wheel and the Kromskis offer you 3 models: the Prelude, the Symphony and now the Interlude. The Interlude offers the modern spinner maximum spinning options for all types of fibers and yarns. The 22" diameter wheel allows a wide range of ratios and smooth treadling while remaining easy to transport. The Interlude is the wheel to take for your guild meetings, demonstrations, retreats, reenactions, and more. Single drive, single treadle, easy assembly, the Interlude has everything, whether you are a novice or have years of spinning under your belt. Additional specifications:
This wheel comes boxed as a kit but goes together quickly. It is available unfinished or with a factory clear, walnut or mahogany finish (see picture above). Inventory for the Interlude will be limited until 2012. The mahogany finish will be available in 2012. In addition to written assembly instructions, we have videos on how to assemble the Interlude and a basic intro to spinning.

Instructions for putting an Interlude together. Now you can extend the range of your Kromski Interlude with the addition of the Jumbo Flyer Kit and the Faster Flyer. See our video about these flyers.Set up your Interlude with the Jumbo flyer and you add lower end speeds, much larger orifice and the extra large bobbin capacity. Kit includes jumbo flyer, one jumbo bobbin and front jumbo maiden. For many spinners the ratio range of the Jumbo can be your every day range, so the Jumbo may be on your Interlude all the time. Jumbo bobbin capacity - 50 cubic inches. Orifice diameter is .7 inches Ratios: 5.5, 8.3, and 11:1 The Faster Flyer for the Interlude increases the ratio speeds to cover most spinning requirements for finer yarn and fibers that need more twist. Use your regular bobbins with the Faster Flyer. Ratios: 13.3, 17.5 and 20:1 Ratio Comparisons - all Kromski Wheels Inform Yourself - understand the difference between a single drive and a double drive wheel. The Kromski Symphony wheel in the Saxony style is a double drive wheel. Be sure to view our 30 minute video on spinning wheel maintenance.
